Make a fresh start in September

And just like that the summer has been and gone! I hope you’ve managed to take a holiday or some time off, or at least have something planned to look forward to?

September always feels like time for fresh starts to me, getting organised after muddling through the kids’ summer holidays and having a bit more headspace to plan.

I’ve changed up my routine a bit, re-assessing all the things I do to decide what to prioritise and what’s not working for me any more that I can let go. I have favourite notebooks and planners that I use for this from time to time (stationery addict!), otherwise I find life fills up too much and might not be going in the direction I want it to. I’ve rearranged my week a bit to free up more time for coaching and writing content and materials - if there’s something nutrition/ lifestyle related you’d like help with please get in touch.

Health and wellbeing is about so much more than nutrition and my conversations with clients cover all sorts of aspects of life from sleep to fitting in steps, work life to socialising, planning food shopping to enjoying holidays, feeding fussy children or partners, the joys of the perimenopause, building new habits in manageable steps and enjoying wine and chocolate whilst still moving towards your health and body composition goals.

When clients realise there is no diet, no ‘plan’ or wagon to fall off, everything changes. We make the best progress when we stop looking for a quick fix and learn to make progress whilst the ups and downs of life happen. Changes made one step at a time are much more likely to stick and if the process is manageable and the results include more energy, better sleep, better digestion, and being happy with how your clothes fit (amongst many others I’ve seen!) then why would you want to go back to exactly what you were doing before?

As always, drop me a line if you have any questions and we can book a free call if there’s something you’d like help with.
